Lent is a time of preparation for the Passion and Resurrection of Christ. Many people choose something to give up for Lent like sweets, meat or various vices, but I would like to suggest another option. I would like to propose for your consideration adding family prayer to your daily routine for the next 33 days. For many people, daily prayer is a challenge, it involves sacrifice and perseverance and thus Lent is the perfect time to resolve once again to pray daily.
Since the goal of our ministry is to help your family to become holy, we developed a resource to help parents develop a culture of prayer within their families. The 33 Day Family Consecration is a resource for parents to introduce daily prayer to their families. If you already pray as a family, then this resource will enable you to go deeper in your family prayer life. Through a series of daily scripture readings, reflections and questions coupled with weekly pious practices, we enable parents and their children to come together and learn more about their Catholic faith and how our Blessed Mother Mary can lead us to closer union with her son, Jesus.
This year we are offering a daily email delivery of the materials (exactly what is contained in the print book) to anyone who signs up for our email list at 33 Days of Prayer Signup.
Please share with your friends and family, our goal is to have 200 families joining us in prayer this Lent.
